Apple has told developers that they can request one-on-one coaching ahead of the launch of Apple silicon Macs later this year.

Until now developers have been able to get their ducks in a row via the universal quick start Program. Some developers have also taken advantage of the Apple developer kit – a Mac mini chassis with iPad internals.

Those who are members of the universal quick start Program are now able to request guidance from an Apple engineer so they can get their iPhone, iPad, and Mac apps up to speed.

As a member of the universal app quick start Program, you can receive one-on-one code-level guidance from an Apple engineer on optimizing your iPhone, iPad, and Mac apps for Apple silicon Macs. appointment requests are being taken until November 1, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. PST.

Labs are scheduled November 4 to 5.

Apple announced the transition to Macs built on Apple silicon earlier this year – during WWDC in June – but is yet to ship a Mac with the new chips.

The company did say that one would arrive before the end of the year however, with some quarters expecting a Mac event to be held online at some point in November. It’s possible we will see the first Apple silicon Mac then.
